Tomorrow, Monday, February 1, will be a snow day for all district locations. There will be no remote or in-person instruction. School district food distribution centers and deliveries are canceled tomorrow.

• A total of 24 district students were accepted into the Middlesex County Arts High School and Middle School Arts programs.
• Face masks donated to WTSD by R. Zwahlen, of Soul Perch.
• $1,000 donated to Kennedy Park School #24 by B. Musolf & A. Bartczk, of Home Depot Colonia.
• $500.00 donated to the RISE program by J. Hoffmann, of Home Depot Woodbridge.
• March BOE meeting rescheduled to Tuesday, March 16 .
• Theater Arts Production pilot program approved for JFK.
• The P.A.C.E. program will begin 7/6 and continue thru 8/6.
• The MS and HS Program of Studies were approved.
• Comprehensive Orton-Gillingham Training approved for 20 teachers in February.
• Public sale of disposable materials approved.
• Purchase of desktop computers for JFK.
• Application for the Learning Loss Grant, in the amount of $156,425, focusing on reducing students’ learning loss during COVID-19 as part of the CARES Act and ESSER funds.
• CHS Girls Tennis Coach, J. Lee, selected as Division Coach of the Year.
• JFK Coach, N. Cuntala, inducted into the NJ Scholastic Association Hall of Fame for 2020.
• CHS and JFK athletes gained individual honors for outstanding accomplishments and performances in various 2020 Fall sports.
• JFK Boys’ Soccer Team winners of the Greater Middlesex Conference Division Sportsmanship Award.
• Bid awarded for asbestos removal and abatement at WHS.

A Special Meeting of the Woodbridge Township Board of Education is scheduled to be held on Thursday, January 14, 2021 convening at 6:00 p.m. in Conference Room A of the Administration Building, 428 School Street, Woodbridge, NJ, at the conclusion of the public portion, the Board will retire to Closed Session. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss personnel matters. Formal action may be taken.

Middlesex County College will hold virtual workshops during Explore Middlesex MonthFuture. Students can learn all about Middlesex County College academic offerings, student services, campus life and the nuts and bolts how to apply and pay for college. A series of evening workshops will be held over Zoom in January.

• CHS Football collected over 190 toys and $75 for the Toys for Tots toy drive.
• Students - N. Galicia, J. Lubas, M. Riaz collected and delivered 50 bags of food to the St. James Food Pantry.
• 2020 Veterans Day Essay Winners Grade 4: 1st–D. Finnerty; 2nd–T. Wisniewski; 3rd–S. Gesmeria.
• 2020 Exemplary Educators: H. Ludlow, S. Samano, M. Sepa-LaFemina.
• The WHS JROTC program received Honor with Distinction (HUD) status for 2020-2021.
• Pizza Vita proprietors, R. Flores & E. Santorelli provided complimentary pizzas to the students at the RISE program.
• Mr. Sanil Namibar organized the Sewa Diwali food drive held at School #18 on 11/28 donating 10,000 lbs. food to “We Feed Woodbridge”.
• Touchdown Club of Colonia members, T. Ciencin, T. Howard, and D. Testa assisted with collecting toys for the Toys for Tots toy drive.

• JFKMHS applied for $10,000 Sustainable for Jersey Schools grant to procure an outdoor water bottle re-fill station.
• Contract awarded for supply and installation of new lockers at CHS
