This Week at WHS
Monday, October 12: NO SCHOOL for students (Teacher In-Service Day). JV Football vs. Summit, 4 PM.
Tuesday, October 13: Students return. Class of 2027 photo on the football field (seniors wear BLACK); Homecoming King & Queen voting opens; Scholastic Book Fair begins; Spanish Honor Society meets after school.
Wednesday, October 14: Bowling Team interest meeting, 2:30 PM, Room 115. Homecoming Dance, 6–9 PM, WHS Gym: Formal attire; student ID required. Afterward, support the Senior Class at Buffalo Wild Wings on Route 1 South. Staff Breast Cancer Awareness apparel requests due to Ms. Yurnet.
Thursday, October 15: PTO meeting, 6 PM, cafeteria. Girls Soccer Senior Night, 6 PM, followed by the varsity game vs. Wardlaw Hartridge at 6:30 PM, Priscoe Stadium.
Friday, October 16: HOMECOMING FOOTBALL vs. LINDEN, 6 PM, Priscoe Stadium! Theme: BARRON PRIDE. Wear RED, BLACK, and WHITE. Last day for hygiene donations and Student-Faculty Basketball Game sign-ups.
Scholastic Book Fair | October 13–16
Visit the Band Room during Block 3. Limited passes are available for students to attend during lunch; teachers may schedule their Block 3 classes to visit.
Clubs & Student Opportunities
Student-Faculty Basketball: Sign up outside Room D3 by October 16. Players must sell four tickets; top seller wins a $50 Amazon gift card. See Coach Toczynski.
National English Honor Society: Juniors and seniors can get applications from Mr. Switek, Room 303.
Bowling: Interest meeting October 14, 2:30 PM, Room 115. See Coach Maddock.
Boys Basketball: Tryout interest meeting October 20, 2:45 PM, Room D3.
Yearbook: Interest meeting October 21, after school, Room 204. Signed permission slip required; pick one up outside Room 204 or from Ms. Forfa in Guidance.
The Barron Perspective: Join the student news team! See Mr. Gregory, Room 302, for a permission slip.
Prom Committee: Meeting October 22, after school, Room 314; forms available outside the room.
Fundraisers & Community Service
Hygiene Product Drive: Through October 16, the Muslim Club and Black Student Union are collecting new, unopened hygiene products for a local women's shelter. Drop off near the Main Office.
Junior Class Boo Bags: Purchase from a Junior Class Officer or Ms. Yurnet through October 28.
Breast Cancer Awareness Shirts: Available from Junior Class Officers or Ms. Yurnet. Staff apparel requests (item, size, white/pink/black) are due October 14.
Stomp & Shake Cheer: Support the Chipotle fundraiser in Avenel; see the team flyer for details.
Thanksgiving Pies: Senior Prom Committee is selling Delicious Orchards apple, cherry, pecan, and pumpkin pies for $25 each. Cash orders due October 29. See Mr. Morrison (306) or Ms. Wauters (314).

Woodbridge High School students and families can access the official College Board student guides for the PSAT/NMSQT and SAT School Day.
These guides provide important information about each exam, including test format, preparation resources, what to expect on test day, and helpful tips for success.

School Reminders
Arrival: Follow bus/car lane signs and keep fire lanes clear. Traffic increases around 7:45 AM; students arriving after 7:50 AM are late.
Devices: Phones, earbuds, headphones, and smartwatches must remain silenced and stored during the school day.
Attendance: Call 732-602-8616 before 7:30 AM to report an absence or lateness. Parents/guardians must sign students out for early dismissal.
