Arrival & Dismissal Reminders
Thank you to our students, families, staff, and transportation personnel for helping make the opening of the 2026–2027 school year a smooth and successful one.
With more than 1,500 students arriving at and leaving WHS each day, everyone's cooperation is important to maintaining a safe and efficient process. Principal Osborne has asked families to continue keeping several important reminders in mind:
Plan to arrive early whenever possible. Traffic increases significantly as we approach 7:45 AM. Allowing a few extra minutes can help reduce congestion and avoid the last-minute rush.
Observe BUS ONLY and CAR LANE designations. Please do not enter, stop, or park in a lane designated for a different purpose.
Use designated parking areas when picking up students.
Do not stop or park in fire lanes. These areas must remain clear at all times for emergency vehicles.
Please remain patient and courteous during morning arrival and afternoon dismissal.
Students are encouraged to arrive between 7:15 AM and 7:40 AM whenever possible. Students arriving after 7:50 AM are considered late.
Thank you for continuing to work together to keep student safety our top priority.
Cell Phone & Electronic Device Reminder
As we settle into the new school year, please remember that cell phones and other personal electronic devices are prohibited during the school day.
Students should silence and secure their phones upon entering the building and keep them stored and out of sight throughout the school day. Smartwatches, headphones, earbuds, and other personal electronic devices should also remain stored.
Parents and guardians who need to contact their child during school hours should contact the school through the Main Office.
Attendance Reminder
When a student will be absent or late, a parent or guardian should contact the WHS Attendance Line before 7:30 AM.
Attendance Line: 732-602-8616
All students, regardless of age, must be signed out by a parent or guardian when leaving school before dismissal.
