Congratulations to this year’s winners of the IMS 4 V4 soccer tournament. For a second year in a row, Motivation Nation episode two has won the title. Marmik Luhar, Prakhar Maheshwari, Daniel Tadrous, Charan Godeka and Abhay Shinde narrowly defeated the Panthers in the championship round 1-0. Great job to all teams! Thank you to all participants and everyone that helped out to make this event such a great success. Attention all band students, please don’t forget the first 6th grade full band rehearsal is Monday at 7:20 am. Please be sure to pick up music by the band room before the rehearsal. A huge thank you to all the students who participated in the IMS Honor Society Food Drive. We collected 50 bags of food to help our community. Thank you for your generosity. Attention all band students, a reminder that morning rehearsals will begin next week on Monday for six grade, and next week on Thursday for advance band. All rehearsals begin at 7:20 am. Please be sure to pick up Music located outside of the band room. Study hall will now be available during lunches from Mondays-Thursdays in room 607. You must sign up and bring your lunch. Speaking of doing something nice, why not send a message and some candy to a friend? Halloween Boograms will be for sale during lunch starting next week. The IMS 4 v 4 Soccer Tournament will be held on Thursday, October 12, so grab four friends to make a team. Permission slips and a roster can be found in the cafeteria. Turn in all paperwork and $10 to Mrs. Neilson or the main office by Tuesday, October 10th. Only the first eight teams who submit their fee and information will make it into the tournament. IMS Guitar club will be starting on Wednesday, October 18. Spots are limited because the school only has 9 guitars to use. There will be a sign up sheet on the IMS website. It is a first come, first serve class. The Google Form will automatically close once it has reached capacity, so don’t delay if you are interested. This class is for ALL levels, whether you are a beginner, who has never played before, or someone who has been playing guitar for a while. Teachers are welcome to come as well. Please be sure to start practicing as we begin morning rehearsals the week of October 16th! This applies to all students who have band in their schedule.
