Today we celebrate Star Trek Day.
Do you want to show all of New Jersey how good you are at Super Smash Bros. Ultimate or Rocket League? Our Esports team will be holding an interest check meeting in room 314 before school on Wednesday, September 10th, at 7:45 AM.
Anyone wishing to order Mums or another fall plant, the deadline to turn in order forms is tomorrow.
Do you enjoy being outside, working with your hands, and making our school a more beautiful place? Then come join the Garden Club!

No experience is needed—just a love for nature and a positive attitude! You’ll help care for flowers, design garden spaces, and make our school bloom with color and creativity.

We will need members who can walk or get a ride home, on Monday, September 15 for the Mum sale. Afterward, regular meetings will begin October 7th. Interested? See Mrs. Pafumi-Libitz in the guidance office for a permission slip.

Today we celebrate National Cheese Pizza Day.
Did you know that singing is an activity that releases endorphins and makes you feel happier? Any student who wants to find out more about singing here at IMS, please come to the choir general interest meeting on Tuesday morning at 7:30 am in the Art room.
There will be a meeting for those with G&T in their schedule in the cafeteria at 2:30pm. Students should go to the cafeteria prepared for dismissal.

Here are today’s announcements: Wednesday, 6/18/25 Today is a B Day. Today we celebrate National Go Fishing Day. Tomorrow Woodbridge Township School District recognizes Juneteenth, a day that celebrates the end of slavery in the United States. It marks June 19, 1865, when the last enslaved people in Texas were told they were free—over two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. Juneteenth became a federal holiday in 2021. Juneteenth reminds us of the importance of freedom, equality, and continuing to learn from our history. Students who are singing in the 8th Grade Promotion Choir, there is NO rehearsal on Friday morning when we come back. However, we will rehearse on Monday morning and Tuesday morning at 7:30 am in room 604. To all students who are singing in the 8th Grade Promotion Choir: there is NO rehearsal on Friday this week. Instead, we will have two rehearsals next week: Monday, June 23rd and Tuesday, June 24th at 7:30 am in room 604. Please review Star Spangled Banner rehearsal tracks in the meantime. All teachers that have extra chromebooks and chargers in their classroom must return those chromebooks and chargers to Room 117 by tomorrow, Friday, June 13. Tomorrow is the last day to bring in your money for the Field Frenzy presale. $10 will get you out of periods 5 and 6 on Tuesday, June 17. All schools and offices in Woodbridge Township School District will be closed starting Monday, June 9, 2025, through and including the Primary Election on Tuesday, June 10, 2025. Offices will reopen and classes will resume on Wednesday, June 11, 2025.

Attention 8th graders attending JFK next year, JFK sports coaches will be here tomorrow, June 6th, at 7:30AM in the cafeteria for a short information session regarding fall sports. Congratulations to our 8th grade students who participated in the district’s CJCEE project! Iselin Middle and Colonia High School earned 1st place for the best student project out of other school districts in Central Jersey! In Science Fair News, congratulations to 7th grader Tanish Ankulkar, who placed 2nd in the Behavioral Science division and won the Best Statistical Analysis award. 8th graders Kriday Patel and Ayush Bommu earned the Most Innovative Use of Technology award and Hibba Khan and Kavyal Gulati, placed 3rd in the Environmental Science division. Join Mrs. Kosmowsky’s period 5 class at IMS’s first Field Frenzy! $10 gets you OUT of periods 5 and 6 on Tuesday, June 17 and outside where you can play games, make a tie dye shirt, or even dunk a teacher! Here are today’s announcements. Wednesday 6/4/25 Today is a B Day. Today we celebrate National Hug Your Cat Day. Great job by the IMS boys and girls cross country team in yesterday’s meet of champions. Both teams finished in 2nd place. Individually, Abhay Shinde took the top spot overall for the boys. On the girls side, Tiara Goodridge was 2nd while Dhruti Patel was 3rd, Gabby Goodridge was 8th and Aishmin Kaur was 9th place overall. Any choir students who are interested in singing for the 8th Grade Promotion Ceremony, please check the choir google classroom. There is information there about how you can participate. Congratulations to Yash Parikh and Kena Darji, for placing 3rd and Samruddhi Patil and Lara Patel, for placing 2nd in the Physical Science and Chemistry division at the SETS Science Fair.
