7th & 8th grade Girls Basketball Tryouts will be held tomorrow, Wednesday, right after school until 4:30pm. All girls who wish to try out must have a completed physical and a ride home at 4:30.

The Panther softball team played Avenel Middle yesterday at WHS. The Panthers of the game were 7th grader Brittany Walsh with a double, stolen base and 2 runs and 8th grader Rilee Sparks bringing her positive energy and solid pitching to shut down the Avenel middle scoring. Great Job!

Today we celebrate National Techies Day.
The IMS softball team lost yesterday to Avenel Middle 14-8. Julia and Britany Walsh each had 2-run homeruns. The Panther of the Game was 8th grader Angelina Quinones. Angelina came into pitch in the 5th inning and struck out the side. Amazing job!
Next week IMS is celebrating the Week of Respect & Inclusion! Each day will have a fun theme—starting Monday with Stomp Out Bullying Day. Wear blue to show we stand together against bullying. Let’s come back on Monday ready to celebrate kindness, respect, and teamwork all week long!

The IMS softball took a lead vs Colonia Middle into the bottom of the 4th before relinquishing the lead and eventually losing the game. There were some solid performances on the field. The Panthers of the game were 7th grader Gurbani Grewal and 8th grader Ellora Clark. Great job!

Today is an A Day.
Today we celebrate National Walk to School Day.
There is an 8th Grade Honor Society meeting today after school in Room 117. All members must attend. Make sure you have a ride home for 4pm.
The garden club wishes to extend a belated thank you and congratulations to the students who helped this past weekend with the Iselin Library Garden clean up! You did an amazing job! Our community is a little more beautiful, because of you!
Select Choir audition instructions are not posted in the choir google classroom. Any student in any grade level who is interested in joining Select Choir may submit an audition and they are due by Friday at 11:59 pm.
For the month of October, IMS will be participating in the SEWA Diwali Food Drive in honor of Diwali! All donations will go to local food pantries. Check out the flyers in your grade-level Google Classroom to see what items you can donate. The donation bin is located in the front lobby of the school by the cafe.
Attention Futbolistas! All bracket spots have been filled and our IMS 4 v 4 Soccer Tournament is ready to be played. Who will score the winning goal? Find out on Thursday October 9th as 8 teams compete for bragging rights. It’s free to attend, so be there at 3:30 and cheer on your favorite teams.
The boys baseball team won their first game of the season yesterday, defeating Woodbridge 5-0. The boys were led by Moksh Patel, who threw a complete game no-hitter, the first in school history! The Panthers will try to make it a winning streak today when they face off against Colonia Middle School.

The IMS softball team lost yesterday to powerhouse Colonia Middle. Jelissa Mejia had a triple and scored a run, Brittany Walsh scored a run. The PANTHER of the game with a very solid pitching performance, allowing only 2 runs in her 2 innings of work is 7th grader Julia Walsh. Great Job!
Two of our 6th grade students from Ishaan Mehta and Kashvi Shukla have WON the Kid Witness News competition for the United States! They will be attending the World Summit at Panasonic Headquarters in Newark

The Panther softball team won yesterday vs WMS 14-7. The Panther of the game was 7th grader Brittany Walsh with a 3 run triple in the 5th inning to tie the game. Great Job Team!
The 8th grade Junior National Honor Society will have its first meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 1 after school. Only those inducted into the Honor Society can come to the meeting. The meeting will take place in room 117. You MUST have a ride home by 4pm.

  • Today is an A Day.

  • Today we celebrate National Daughter’s Day.

  • Choir rehearsal will take place tomorrow morning at 7:30 in the Art room. This is the last time you will be reminded via announcements. Please come every Tuesday and Friday, choir members!!

  • Picture day is Tuesday, 9/30, bring your best smile

  • The 8th grade National Junior Honor Society will have its first meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 1 after school. Only those inducted into the Honor Society can come to the meeting. The meeting will take place in room 117. You MUST have a ride home by 4pm. 

  • A reminder to all band students the permission slips for the trip to jfk marching band performance tomorrow are due today! Please drop them off in room 606.

  • Attention all 7th and 8th Grade Girls. There will be a Girls Basketball Interest meeting on Wednesday, October 1 at 7:45am in the gym. If you are interested in playing this upcoming season, be sure to attend to get all the important details!

To all band students, there will be a meeting on This Wednesday September 24th at 7:40 am for all band students enrolled in band. It does not matter what quarter you are enrolled in, you must attend. Please be sure to sign up for the full band google classroom before Wednesday. The code is on the board in room 606!
There will be NO Select Choir rehearsal today after school. We will begin Select Choir rehearsals on Monday, September 29.

Attention all aspiring Basketball players: Sports physicals are due Oct 1st which is only a week a half away. Physical forms are available on our school website under athletics.
