Today marks the first day of Indic Heritage Month! For the month of January, we will recognize influential figures who come from the various cultural identities of the Indian Subcontinent which includes India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, and Sri Lanka. Our first influential figure is Reshma Saujani. Reshma founded Girls Who Code to help close the gender gap in technology. Her work encourages students to be brave, try new skills, and learn from mistakes.

As a friendly reminder, IMS is now collecting crayons for the Crayon Initiative. The organization collects used and unneeded crayons and recycles them into new crayons for children in hospitals. Donated crayons can be dropped off in the cafeteria or in room 516.
