Today we celebrate National Megalodon Day.
Attention all graduating 8th grade students interested in playing baseball at John F. Kennedy Memorial High School next year:There will be an informational meeting on Wednesday, June 17, at 7:30 AM in room 122 for any student interested in trying out for the JFK Memorial High School Baseball Program. The meeting will cover summer workouts and practices, fall and winter strength and conditioning opportunities, and the important dates leading up to tryouts on March 8, 2027.The meeting will be led by Coach Arthur Davis, JFK Memorial High School Varsity Baseball Coach. We encourage all interested student-athletes to attend.
Attention all 6th graders- today is chromebook collection. You should have your chromebook and charger with you throughout the day and listen for your homeroom to be called down to room 117.

A big congratulations to the STEM students who competed in the SETS Science Fair last week!
Earning placements in their categories and ranking in the top 10% were 8th graders Dev Bhargo, Harsith Saravanarju, Seeyal Jain, Dev Vazirani, Saira Dahodwala, Ishani Chakraborty, and Nishika Chinta.
Also placing in their categories were Bhavika Patil, Rishika Tarte, Chavisse Ross, and Prateek Singh.
In addition, special awards were earned by Prateek Singh, Varunesh Kanagasabapathy, Ishani Chakraborty, and Nishika Chinta.
Congratulations to all of our participants on their hard work, dedication, and outstanding achievements!

In celebration of the release of a rather amazing digital movie tomorrow, we invite you to wear your favorite animated character for our Animation Celebration on June 4th.
For the month of June, we will recognize Juneteenth by sharing a daily fact to learn more about its history and significance. Juneteenth, recognized on June 19th, celebrates the day when the last enslaved people in the United States learned they were free. "Freedom’s Eve" on January 1, 1863, marked the first Watch Night services where African Americans gathered in anticipation of the Emancipation Proclamation.

This past weekend, a local Eagle Scout concluded their community service project by building a little free library and planting a garden. The library is located to the right of our school’s main entrance. Anyone is welcome to take a book, but if you do you should leave one of yours for others.

Today we celebrate National Hamburger Day.
Congratulations to the IMS boys' and girls' cross-country teams on an outstanding performance yesterday at the Meet of Champions. The boys' team earned a strong 2nd-place finish, while the girls' team captured 3rd place overall. Several runners delivered standout performances. For the boys, Ishan Shinde placed 3rd overall, Abhinav Gatala finished 7th, and Mudassir Khan earned 9th place, giving IMS three runners in the top 10. In the girls' race, Julia Walsh had an excellent performance, finishing 4th overall. Fantastic effort by all of the runners on a great day of competition!
