Dear Colonia Middle School Grade 6 Students and Parent/Guardians:
In addition to our 6th Grade Locker Camps, we have scheduled a 6th Grade Orientation Meeting on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at 10:00 am.
Students and parents are invited to attend this informational meeting on the upcoming school year. The program will be held in our cafeteria (Please Enter through Door #11 on the gymnasium side of the building). A wealth of information will be shared. Many of the amazing things which take place here at CMS will be highlighted. It is hoped that this visit will be the first of many to come for our parents/guardians. We welcome parent/guardian involvement in the educational career of our students, and actively seek your participation through frequent contact and PTO membership.

Dear Colonia Middle School Grade 6 Students and Parents/Guardians:
Welcome to Colonia Middle School. We will be holding our 6th Grade Locker Camp on the following dates:
Wednesday, August 17th from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm
Wednesday, August 24th from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm
Students and parents/guardians are invited to attend during either session. You will report to Door #2. Upon arrival, each student will receive their locker number and combination. You will then proceed up to the 6th grade wing to practice opening your locker. Staff members will be present to assist you. Students can decorate the inside of their lockers. They may attach things to their locker using magnets only. Students are not permitted to use anything that has an adhesive that might leave a residue. These sessions are optional, our teachers will be assisting students on the opening days of school.
To be prepared for the start of school, students should have the following general supplies.
4 Composition notebooks
Three ring binder with dividers
Pencils/pens
Colored pencils
Folders (one for each subject)
Glue sticks
Highlighters
Post-it notes
Earbuds or headphones
Once classes begin, individual teachers may request additional items.
Our student council will be selling school supplies at the locker camp sessions, cash payment only.
The start of middle school is an exciting time and we will be here every step of the way in helping all students find success here at CMS. We are all looking forward to an outstanding 2022-2023 school year.
