Dear Parents/Guardians:

This letter is to inform you that individuals at Oak Ridge Heights E.S. #21 are presently quarantining due to possible exposure to a positive Coronavirus (COVID-19) case in our community. The District is coordinating closely with public health officials and following CDC, state, and local health department guidance in order to assure the health and safety of our community. At this time, there are no known in-person positive cases of students or staff inside our building.

We understand the level of concern regarding COVID-19. We encourage parents and students to continue following the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention promoted safeguards, such as:
• Staying home when you are sick;
• Washing hands often with soap for at least 20 seconds;
• Covering coughs and sneezes and properly disposing of tissues;
• Limiting close contact with people who are sick and not sharing food, drinks and utensils;
• Practicing social distancing (staying at least 6 feet apart);
• Wearing a face covering while in school; and
• Continuing to monitor your health for symptoms.
As always, we appreciate our community’s support and cooperation. You can assist us by remaining vigilant but sensible in your approach to dealing with this health concern. Should you have any questions about this situation, please feel free to contact Lori Mido our school nurse at 732-499-6553. Below are some resources that might be helpful.

Dear Parents/Guardians:

I hope this letter finds everyone safe and healthy. Due to the update in classroom social distancing from 6ft. to 3ft, with masks, we will have a few changes to our reopening after Spring Recess.

On April 12, 2021, Oak Ridge Heights will only have two Cohort Groups. In-person hybrid and Group C remote. ALL IN-PERSON STUDENTS WILL ATTEND SCHOOL 5 DAYS A WEEK. Any students who would like to switch from Group C to in-person will need to contact the school to switch groups no later than 11:00 AM on April 2, 2021 to return to in-person instruction starting on April 12, 2021.

We are giving you an extra day to request the switch as many staff members throughout the district DO NOT have access to email. Therefore, if you have not done so, please CALL the main office to request to switch your child from remote to in-person instruction.

If you have any questions, please call the office.

Yours truly,

Scott Osborne
