The administration, faculty, and staff at Kennedy Park School #24 are hoping that you and your child’s first few days of school have been positive. We believe that understanding the instructional day and happenings at Kennedy Park will help all to communicate and work effectively together for the best interest your child(ren). Due to the large population of students at Kennedy Park will be holding our Open House on two separate evenings. You not need to attend both evenings, only the evening to which your child’s classroom is designated.
Open House #1: Wednesday, September 13, 2023: A Pod and C Pod
(Classrooms: A1, A2, A3, A4, C1, C2, C3, C4, E1 (Aut. Kindergarten, Ms. Rodriguez))
6:00 - 7:00 pm in All-Purpose Room
Open House #2: Thursday, September 14, 2023: B Pod and D/E Wing
(Classrooms B1, B2, B3, B4, D0, D1, D2, D3, D4, D5, D6, E1 Preschool Full Day)
6:00 - 7:00 pm in All-Purpose Room
Our Open House will provide parent(s)/guardian(s) the opportunity to meet all his/her teachers and learn about the classes that your child attends. Open House will showcase the quality efforts of instruction, activities, and such from our teachers, staff, and students. Please understand that this evening is not designed to provide progress and/or an individualized conference about your child with your child(ren) teacher(s). If you do have concerns that do need to be addressed prior to our designated conference time in December (Dec. 4-8 the classroom teachers will provide you with a way to communicate with them in depth at a later time.
This evening is structured to open with a short introduction from our “K Crew”, the teacher & parent group about volunteering, future events, fundraisers, meetings, etc. You will also hear from administration about important information (Genesis Parent Portal, Conferences, Thrillshare, etc.) regarding your child(ren). From there, you will be visiting your child(ren) classroom where you will be able to meet the teacher and learn about your child’s day.
Beyond Open House, we encourage you to check on our Woodbridge Township School District and Kennedy Park School webpage(s) for any new information, events/happenings. Our school webpage and district webpage serve as a primary communication tool for any recent Board of Education action and/or news.
We kindly ask that children are not to attend the Open House due to space. The Kennedy Park School Faculty, Staff, and I look forward to seeing you on your designated Open House night.
