Welcome to Mr. Girard's class! Associated courses include United States History 1 & 2, World History II, and Sociology. I also assist with the Guitar Club, and teach night and online courses at Monmouth University, Brookdale Community College, and Middlesex County College, providing a gateway between the high school setting and collegiate academia.
My class structure combines Google Classroom, interactive learning tools such as Google Tour Builder, kinisthetic projects, PowerPoint presentations and verbal conversations, and reflective learning tools. I employ teacher-based-learning and student-focused teaching methods. My core principle is for the safety and well-being of my students in the classroom.
The most helpful tool for students doing research is JSTOR.org; this is an online research database that will help students find and analyze scholarly work to help them in research and scholarly structure. An A-Z list of databases which can be used for free are at the following website, belonging to Middlesex County College: MCC Libary
