    Freshman:  We need class officers!  See Mrs Economos in room 229 TODAY during homeroom or in room 126 block 4 or right after school if you would like to run for president, vice president, secretary, or treasurer for the class of 2023.  Elections will be held on September 16.

    Attention all seniors:  Homecoming is fast approaching and it’s time to start the nomination process.  Please head to Mr. Hutchinson’s schoolwires page, under the Student Council tab, then click on Homecoming.  Fill out the Google Form, but keep in mind, you are only allowed to nominate 5 students who would represent CHS well as Homecoming King and 5 students who would represent CHS well as Homecoming Queen.  You may only fill out the form once and you can not duplicate your nominations - it will simply not count. So head to Mr. Hutchinson’s schoolwires and nominate your Homecoming King and Queen today! Nominations close on Wednesday September 11th.  See Mr. Hutchinson if you have any questions.

    The first ever CHS Mini-THON is happening this year! Come join us as we stay on our feet and dance to raise money to fight pediatric cancers! Our first meeting will be Wednesday, September 11th at 2:35 in room 128. All are welcome! For the kids!

    A big thank you goes out to all of the Student Council and Class officers, as well as any other volunteers who came out to the New Jersey Senior Olympics in Woodbridge and volunteered their time to make this event a great success.  Thank you all for your time and support!

    Welcome back Colonia High! It's time to get the show started! Auditions for this year's Fall Play - Maybe Baby, It's You - will be held on Tuesday, September 10th and Wednesday, September 11th after school in the auditorium until 5:00p. You only have to attend one of those dates but if called back for a role you MUST be available on Thursday, September 12th until 4:30p. A sign-up sheet is posted outside Rm 148 and interested students should pick up an audition form from Ms. Montalvo. This form must be completed PRIOR to your selected audition date.  Looking forward to seeing the talent that will grace our stage!

    Welcome back SPTS Youth Council Members! The first meeting for this year will be held at Woodbridge High School on Monday September 9th from 6-8p. All members, new and returning, should attend. Please complete the Google Form on classroom confirming your attendance. If you do not have access to the Youth Council's Google Classroom, please visit Ms. Montalvo's schoolwires page for the class code. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Montalvo or Mrs. Murphy.

    Attention all students:  If you are interested in being a part of student council and making a difference, sign up to be a homeroom representative.  Two representatives are needed for each homeroom and it’s a great way to help your school and become a leader amongst your peers.  Go to Mr. Hutchinson’s schoolwires page, under the student council tab, click on the Homeroom Rep application link and fill out the form.  The deadline to fill out the application is this Wednesday, September 11th.     Auditions for the Colonia High School Show ChToir will be held on Thursday, September 12th,2:30-5:30 beginning in room 148.  Please print out the audition form from Mrs. Bolton's SchoolWires and bring to the audition. Wear comfortable clothing and shoes for dancing.

    9/10 - 9/13

    Fall Workouts - Strength and Conditioning - will begin next Monday, 9/16.  Workouts will take place on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Meet in the locker room on Monday at 230pm.  A cleared and up-to-date physical, as well as an Emergency Form, must be handed in in order to participate.  You can give Coach Cyrana the Emergency Form or hand it in on the first day. See Coach Cyrana with any questions.  All are welcome to attend.

    Attention all students,

    The Colonia High School yearbook is now on sale for the low price of 65 dollars. Buy it now to preserve the memories of the 2019-2020 school year before the price jump to 100 dollars. These are memories that last forever and involve the WHOLE school, not just Seniors, but Juniors, Sophomores, and Freshmen as well!  Look for sample pages and the 2020 cover to be unveiled soon. Go to Mr. Cerchio or Ms. Aochoa's school wires page to find information under the "Yearbook Information" tab to order one today.

    Are you interested in applying to be a member of the Science National Honor Society? If so, please see Mrs. McCoy in room 128 during blocks 2&3 or Mr. Rollis in room 130 during blocks 3&4 for an application. All returning members must re-apply.

    Preseason Strength and Conditioning begins Monday, September 16th in the weight room for All returning Boys Basketball Players, interested players and students preparing for a Winter Sport are welcome! You MUST have an updated physical.  Please see Coach Rodriguez with any questions.

    To all students wishing to become FBLA Members:  There will be a meeting held before school at 7:15am next Thursday, Sept. 19th in Room 142.  This is a very important meeting. Please make every attempt to be there!

    Students who are interested in joining the Student Led Action Committee and want to know about our activism driven events for this school year should attend our first meeting after school on Monday, September 16th in room 203. 

    Interested in anime, comics, movies, games and more? Join the Fandom Club, formerly known as the Anime Club, on Wednesday, September 18th after school in room 203.

    Want to be a part of the award winning Juggernauts, Colonia High School's Academic Competition team? Then come to our first meeting on Thursday, September 19th in room 203.

    Attention cast of Maybe Baby, It's you! The first read through will be held after school tomorrow in Rm 229 until 4:30p. There is no rehearsal today.  ALL cast members must attend to accept their role. If you have any questions, or concerns, please see Ms. Montalvo BEFORE the end of the day tomorrow.     And what a better way to make today beautiful?? Come to our first Interact Club meeting today after school in Caf 1.  This year our Interact Club looks forward to planning many new and exciting events. All students are welcome, so if you're interested in making a difference in the lives of others, while having fun with your friends, come join us after school and BE HAPPY!

    If you're unable to make today's meeting, see Mrs. Brennan or Ms. Ragan about joining Interact Club's Google Classroom and Remind to receive the most up to date information.

    Attention all those students who signed up to be a Homeroom Representative for Student Council:  in order to complete your application and become a homeroom rep, you must attend the first meeting of the year this Thursday, September 19th at 7:20am in the media center.  All student council officers, please make arrangements to attend this meeting, as well, on Thursday morning. We will be discussing next week’s Spirit Week and other important events/dates for the year.  Please see Mr. Hutchinson if there are any questions.

    Attention all students: Next week is Spirit Week.  Start saving your dimes and make a plan to earn money for your class treasury.  The whole week’s schedule can be found on Mr. Hutchinson’s schoolwires page, but we start off on Monday with Character day, where you can dress up (of course, within the guidelines of the dress code) as your favorite fictional character or wear a shirt with your favorite fictional character on it.  Also, bring in old, CLEAN blankets, sheets, and towels that will be donated to St. Hubert’s Animal Shelter. Get in the spirit, earn your class some money, and make a difference during Spirit Week! See Mr. Hutchinson if you have any questions.

    The Ecology Club will be holding its first meeting after school on Wednesday in Room 133.  Join us as we work to reduce the ecological footprint of Colonia High School, give back to the community through donations of produce grown in our very own greenhouse, and work toward earning our first EcoSchools award.  See Ms. Greffer in Room 133 if you have any questions.

    Attention all National Honor Society members.  Our first meeting will take place on Friday, September 20th at 7:20am in the media center.  Attendance is mandatory. We will be discussing our leadership positions as well as other important information for the year, including our tutoring schedule.  See Mr. Hutchinson if you have any questions or concerns.

    The Colonia Girls Soccer Team is Making a Difference again this year with our 4th Annual Lace Up 4 Pediatric Cancer Soccer Game!  Every year in the United States, 15,000 kids are diagnosed with cancer. Go4theGoal works with hospitals across the country to provide financial assistance, grant wishes, develop and fund unique hospital programs, and fund innovative research!  Please help us raise money by finding the link on Coach Carew's School Wires page, asking a player for their fundraising page, and/or join us for the game on September 28th @ 10am vs. Sayreville. Please give what you can so we can make a difference and show kids battling cancer that they aren't alone.  See Coach Carew or any girls soccer player if you have any questions.

    Attention Seniors...The first deposit for project graduation is due November 11th.

    Project Graduation is also selling lawn signs and Yankee candles, if interested please submit an order form.

    Attention ALL  Ice Hockey Players, there will be a night meeting at Colonia High School on Wednesday the 25th of September at 7pm, This meeting is for any returning players as well

     as any new and interested players.  Please stop by your Athletic Directors office for a player packet. Player packet will consist

     of meeting details and remind setup information.  Once more there will be a night meeting at Colonia High School for all Ice Hockey players

    There is a mandatory baseball meeting on Monday Sept 23rd at 715 am in Room 105.  Information regarding the upcoming season and fall workouts will be given out. Any questions see Coach Scialfo.

    The first mu alpha theta meeting of the year will be held on Thursday September 26th at 2:35pm in room 234. This meeting is for current and returning members ONLY. See The Calc Daddy in room 234, or The OG in room 233, with any questions.

    Any students interested in learning about to register to vote for the November general elections and the 2020 presidential elections should attend Monday's SLAC meeting in room 203. Any students who are 17 or 18 can register to vote during lunch starting on Tuesday the 24th.

    Today, the girls volleyball team battles against state powerhouse Hunterdon Central at 5:15.

    Colonia is currently ranked 18th in the state and it should be a great match.

    The Ecology Club will be meeting after school on Wednesday, September 25th in Room 133.  Join us as we work together to find ways to reduce waste, feed those less fortunate, and chart a pathway to sustainability. See Ms. Greffer in Room 133 Blocks 3 & 4 or Ms. Pollard during Block 2 in Room 120.

    The 2019 CHS mini-THON will have its next meeting on Thursday, September 26th direction after school until 4:00 in Café 2. Make sure to come to Café 2 and not room 128 this time. Reminders will be sent out in Remind and Google Classroom. All students who want to help and be involved are still welcome! For the kids!

    This year’s first Super Smash Brothers Ultimate tournament is taking place on October 15th and 16th in the media center right after school! Entry forms are outside of room 128. Please see Mr. Chester with any questions. The entry fee is $3 early or $5 at the time of the tournament.

    Attention All Students and Staff:

    Tomorrow is the day that we welcome Eric Legrand! And to honor our hometown hero, all staff and students that PRE-ORDERED Team Legrand t-shirts may wear them for Spirit Day.

    To continue to show our support for Team Legrand and the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation, our school-wide Eric Legrand Walk & Festival will take place on October 9 during Blocks 2,3, and 4.  You may CHOOSE to purchase wristbands for ANY block for a $5 donation beginning October 2. Or, if your ENTIRE class attends, the cost is only $3 per student. 

    The walk and festival will feature live music by Mr. Perrino's guitar club, Italian ice, raffles, games, AND a performance by one of the NJ Pizza Boys!  Hope to see you there!

    A brand new club has been brought to CHS.  Are you interested in fashion? Are you looking to go on cool trips? Are you interested in learning more about the Fashion field? Well CHS FIDM fashion club is the club for you. Not only will you be able to plan and host fashion shows, you will get the opportunity to meet mentors, learn about new trends, style, learn about the business side of fashion and be able to go to a real runway show in LA. Any ideas given will be taken into heavy consideration.  Well I am sold, how about you? CHS FIDM Fashion Club will be starting next week Tuesday Oct. 1 in room 102. They will be meeting every other tuesday from thereafter. Please see Ms.Mollica in room 102 or the President, Geetika Padala for more questions!

    Are you interested in making movies, writing scripts, acting in shorts, or producing videos?  Then, it is imperative that you check out the CHS Film Club. Our inaugural meeting is today, immediately after school in room 201.  The meeting will last until 3:30pm - so please make arrangements for transportation home at this time.     The Colonia High School Girls Soccer teams would like to extend their sincerest thanks to any and all who participated in their 4th annual Charity Game for Pediatric Cancer.  Together we have been able to raise over $1700 for this incredible cause.
