Ross Street School is home to a preventative counseling program that impacts students through classroom lessons, grade level activities, small groups, individual student planning, and responsive services.
Some of the things our students may speak to our counselor about include (but are not limited to) grades, attendance, educational planning, behavior, issues at home, social issues or incidents, middle school transition, stress management, changes in the family, death, divorce, and making appropriate decisions.
Ross Street School is home to a PBSIS inspired program called The Ross Street Stars in which students can earn stars for positive behavior and outstanding citizenship. The stars are used as entry into raffles throughout the school year, our prizes range from teacher experiences (lunches, movies, sporting events, etc.) to physical prizes (bikes, games, books, tablets, gifts cards, etc.). Our programs success relies heavily on support from students, teachers, administration, parents, families and the Woodbridge community. If you are interested in helping us maintain this program by donation please do not hesitate contacting me directly!
