Kennedy Park Families:
First off, we at Kennedy Park continue to send our many thanks and appreciation to our families
for their continued support, cooperation, and patience through the course of this school year.
Just like bees, we are busy, busy and well on our way! The end of the school year is rapidly
approaching, the weather is getting nice, and summer is right around the corner. The end of the
school year also means many events and happenings at Kennedy Park!
With the warmer weather, students are heading outside more and more for not only play and
walks but also instructional lessons. Please make sure your child has on appropriate footwear
(sneakers or shoes that they can run and play safely in).
Please make sure to read all the provided information regarding the events, happenings, and
schedule changes.
May Events/Happenings:
Picture Day: Tuesday, May 4th & Thursday, May 6th
- In-Person classes 9:00am – 1:00pm; Virtual Students 1:15pm – 3:0pm
- Please see your child’s classroom teacher’s virtual platform(s) for schedule day(s)
- Virtual Students: A Pod, C Pod, & PreK AM Students attend 5.4.21
- Virtual Students: B Pod, D/E Wing & PreK PM Students attend 5.6.21
Plant Sale: Students will/can shop for plants during a scheduled time during the school day.
*Plants range in pricing from $0.50 - $2.00
*All students receive 1 free plant
*Please send something for your child to carry the plants home in (shopping bag, shoe box) if they
are purchasing

Extended Memorial Day Weekend: Friday, May 28 thru and including Tuesday, June 1
No ONLINE or IN-PERSON CLASSES
In-person and online classes will resume on Wednesday, June 2
Stepping Up Ceremonies: Information has gone home regarding scheduled Stepping Up -
Ceremonies for all classes/students participating.
-This is a full outdoor event.
3 tickets per family. If 3 tickets are not needed, please return the extra. You must have your
ticket for the scheduled event.
-In the event of rain, the scheduled day will remain the same; however, the time of the ceremony
will change to accommodate an indoor ceremony.
-Permission slip will be going home prior to the event, if you are deciding to take your child
home with you afterwards.
Last of School (In-Person & Virtual): Friday, June 18
*All Classes will attend on the 9:45 – 2:15pm schedule will work remotely that day
