• Classroom Rules and Procedures:

     

    • I expect that each student in the classroom behave in a courteous manner that is RESPECTFUL!  We will show the utmost respect for the property of others and to our school.

    • SCHOOL ID’s MUST BE WORN AND VISIBLE AT ALL TIMES!

     

    • If the ID is lost/stolen/damaged, there is a $5 fine for a replacement ID.

     

    • Students are expected to:
      • Arrive to class on time.
      • Be prepared for class.
      • Maintain appropriate classroom behavior.
      • Stay in your assigned seat, unless instructed otherwise.
      • Pay attention to and follow directions.
      • Show RESPECT for teachers, fellow students and property.

     

    • Equipment such as iPods, cell phones, earbuds/headphones, etc., are not permitted to be worn or used in class at anytime, unless instructed by the teacher. ELECTRONIC DEVICES WILL BE CONFISCATED AND RETURNED TO PARENTS/GUARDIANS ONLY.

     

    • NO FOOD or BEVERAGES ARE PERMITTED IN THE CLASSROOM.

     

    • Board of Education Regulation # 5240 states that students may NOT carry backpacks within the school building during the day. Backpacks may be used by students to carry books and supplies to and from school, but must be stored in the hall locker during the school day.
    • If you are absent, it is your responsibility to complete missing assignments.  You will have 2 days to make-up for each day that you are absent.  You are responsible for keeping up with the current assignments, as well as completing any missing work.

     

    EXCESSIVE ABSENCES: (Quarter classes)

    • Absences for any reason for more than:
      • 4 days in a quarter course = No Credit

    *Those students who lose credits must remain in scheduled class(es).

     

    EXCESSIVE TARDINESS: (Quarter classes)

    • 2 lates = 2 detentions
    • 3 lates = 1 day of ACS
    • 4 lates = 1 days ACS + Loss of Credit

     

    Internet Rules:

    • Before you are allowed access the internet, you must have an Internet User Contract signed by you and your parent/guardian and returned.
    • Playing internet games and viewing videos on the internet will NOT be allowed.  Internet usage is limited to class assignments ONLY.
    • Accessing inappropriate web sites will not be tolerated.  A discipline report will be issued and will result in the loss of internet privileges.
    • Before exiting the class, you MUST “log off” your computer.  

     

    Cheating:


    Cheating of any kind will NOT be tolerated shall result in a mark of zero (0) for the assignment for all parties involved.  This includes the student who shared their work, as well as the student copying the work.
