• Unidad 1, Leccion 1, Major Assessment Project: Directions:
     
    Create a poster, Power Point, Prezi or Google Doc presentation with sentences describing what people like to do and what they do not like to do using the verb "gustar".
     
    The following must be included:

    If you choose to do PowerPoint, Prezi, or Google Doc, you must have 10 slides. That means one sentence and one picture for each slide.
     
    Unidad 1, Leccion 2- Major Assessment Project
     
    Directions: Create 6 yearbook entries- include one for yourself and five for celebrities. You may create a poster, booklet, Power Point, Prezi or Google Doc. Include the following:
     
    One photo for each entry- 1 photo for yourself and 1 for each celebrity- 6 altogether.
     
    A sentence that says the name of the person in Spanish
     
    A sentence that says where the person is from in Spanish
     
    2 sentences with different activities that each person likes to do using"gusta" and correct Indirect Object Pronouns in Spanish- 12 Different Activities Altogether92 different activities per person)
     
    If you choose to do a booklet, you must have 6 pages- one yearbook entry per page.
     
    If you create a Power Point, Prezi or Google Doc, you must have 6 slides- yearbook entry per slide.

    Directions: Write your teacher an e-mail about your self and your school schedule, including times. The following must be included:

    One sentence stating where you are from
     
    One sentence stating one school activity you like to use using " gusta" and the correct Indirect Object Pronoun
     
    One sentence stating how many classes you have

    Unidad 2, Leccion 2
     
    Directions: Create a map of your ideal school- you may draw or create a multimedia map. Write questions and sentences describing where places are located throughout the school. Include the following:
     
    At least 8 places in the school labeled in Spanish- library, cafeteria, bathroom, gym, pool, classrooms, computer lab, school store, etc.
     
    Include an illustration to symbolize each place
     
    Write 5 questions using" donde? and the correct form of "estar" in order to ask where 5 of the places are located
     
    Write 5 sentences answering the questions to state where each place is located using the correct form of " estar" and prepositional phrase
     
    Use a different proposition for each location sentence- 5 different propositions altogether.
     
    Unidad 3, Leccion 1
     
    Directions: Create a menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Write sentences stating what you like and dislike eating or drinking  for each category. Include the following:
     
    3 sections for your menu-labeled with headings for breakfast, lunch, and dinner in Spanish
     
    2 foods and 1 drink item for each category. You must use different items for each section-9 different items altogether.
     
    Include a photo of one of the items from each section of your menu- 3 photos altogether.
     
    One sentence using"gusta" or "gustan" with the correct Indirect Object Pronoun to say a food or drink that you like for each section of the menu.
     
    One sentence using 'gusta' or gustan" with the correct Indirect object Pronoun to say a food or drink that you dislike for each section of the menu.
     
    You will 6 sentences altogether
     
    Unidad 3, Leccion 2
     
    Directions: Create a family tree with at least 4 members, including yourself. Write  sentences describing the members of your family. You may create a poster, book, PowerPoint, Prezi, or Google Doc Presentation. The following must be included:
     
    A family tree with at least 4 members and yourself- you must label each person in Spanish.
     
    Include a photo or drawing of each person.
     
    One sentence that states the birthday of one person in Spanish
     
    One sentence that states the age of one person in Spanish
     
    One sentence that describes one person in Spanish( using the correct form of " ser and and adjective from the vocabulary)
     
    Two sentences comparing different family members(using adjectives from the vocabulary and 2 different comparison phrases) in Spanish

    Unidad 4, leccion 1
     
    Directions: Create a poster, PowerPoint, Prezi or Google Doc presentation describing the weather and stating what you wear during the four seasons. Include the following:
    One section for each season- Each section must be labeled with the correct season in Spanish
     
    In each section, a picture or drawing that represents the appropriate season.
     
    In each section, a sentence in Spanish that describes  the weather during that season.
     
    In each section, a picture or drawing of articles of clothing that may be worn during that season.
     
    In each section, 2 sentences in Spanish stating 2 different articles of clothing that you wear during that season.
    each section will have 4 sentences( 12 altogether)- one describing the weather and the other two stating 2 different articles of clothing that may be worn during that season
     
    There must be 8 different articles of clothing used altogether.
     
    Unidad 4, leccion 2
     
    Directions: Create a travel itinerary for a weekend in Barcelona, Spain with you and your family. Choose two places to go each day, Friday- Sunday. Write two activities that you can do at each place in Spanish. The following must be included:
     
    Two places to visit in Barcelona, Spain for Friday- Sunday (6 different places altogether)
     
    Two sentences stating different activities that you do at each place in Spanish(12 activities altogether)
     
    One sentence should use simple future(ir a+ infinitive)
     
    Another sentence should use an -ar,-er,ir verb
     
    Times that you will visit each place, In Spanish
    One photo for each place(2 photos for each day-6 altogether.)
     
     
    Unidad 5, leccion 1
     
    Directions: Create either a poster, Power Point, Prezi, or Google Doc presentation about your ideal room. The following must be included:
     
    Find a picture online or draw a picture of what your ideal room would look like
    .
    Label at least 15 items in the room with vocabulary you have learned.
     
    Write 10 sentences describing contents of your ideal room
    Bibliography for internet or magazine images
     
    If you use images from the internet or magazine you must get citations for them.
     
    You do not have to cite for clip art.
     
    Unidad 5, leccion 2
     
    Directions; Plan a surprise Birthday party for your best friend. Include an invitation and a list of 15 tasks that you need help with in Spanish. The following must be included.
     
    An invitation-either an e-vite or actual invitation with the following information in Spanish
     
    What the party is for
     
    Where the party is located
     
    What time the party starts
     
    An e-mail address or phone number in order to RSVP for the party-include an RSVP date
     
    A list of 15 tasks for another friend to help you prepare for the party in Spanish- all tasks must be in affirmative tu command form.
     
    Unidad 6, leccion 1
     
    Directions: Create a poster, Power Point, Prezi, or Google Doc presentation describing 4 different sports using a different team from 4 different Spanish-speaking countries. Include a picture of the team with the flag from their country and sentences describing each sport. The following must be included;
     
    4 different sports and 4 different Spanish - Speaking countries-1 sport for each country
     
    Choose 1 team that plays the sport in that country-include a photo of the flag from the country and photo of the team
     
    A sentence stating the name of the team in Spanish
     
    A sentence stating the name of one player on the team
     
    A sentence stating where the sport is played-court,field, stadium
     
    A sentence stating 2 pieces of equipment that are used for the sport.

    Unidad 6, Leccion 2
     
    Directions: Write a diamond poem about a place that makes you feel healthy. The following must be included;
     
    A place
     
    A description of the place
     
    Three things you did at this place in Spanish(past tense)
     
    Another description of the place
     
    Actual name of a place
     
    A photo of the place

    Unidad 7, Leccion 1
     
    Directions: Write an article for the online school newspaper in Spanish about your computer/table/telephone usage over the past weekend. Write at least 8 sentences in Spanish. Include the following:
     
    One sentence stating what type of computer/tablet/phone you used
     
    One sentence stating how many hours you used the computer/tablet/phone
     
    One sentence statign games you played
     
    One sentence stating whether or not you sent e-mails/text messages
     
    One sentence stating which social media websites you used
     
    3 sentences stating other apps or websites you used
     
    Sentences should use past tense of -ar,-er, and -ir verbs
     
    Use at least 5 vocabulary words from Unit 7, lesson 1
     
    Unidad 7, Leccion 2
     
    Directions:
     
    Create a record a phone conversation with a classmate inviting them to an amusement park. Include activities you will do there. Your classmate must turn down the invitation and suggest a different place and day to go. Include the following:
     
    At least 12 lines of dialogue altogether
     
    Greetings used for answering the phone
     
    A question to ask who is speaking
     
    A response to state who is speaking
     
    A question asking how someone is and a response
     
    A questions inviting someone to go to the amusement park
     
    2 activities that can be done at the amusement park
     
    A polite statement refusing the invite
     
    A suggestion to go to a different place and time to go
