Fords Middle School is moving away from a 4 period, 83 minute, Block Schedule to a 8 period, 46 minute, Interdisciplinary Team approach. The main purpose is to implement a schedule that is designed to support the assignment of both students and teachers into team structures that promote the delivery of an interdisciplinary curriculum.

Greater ability to develop interdisciplinary curriculum that connects content from all disciplines.

Develop a greater sense of community and camaraderie among staff and students.
Ability for staff to meet and conference with parents/guardians as a collective group.
